super unproductive today in terms of crafting problems to meet the deadline on mon
instead, i've uploaded photos from vietnam into facebook, check out places to head for high-tea with the girls on sunday and surfing away

i only managed to do up an outline of what i think should be included in the problem statement and 6P
apart from that, i just can't get down to writing them out.
argh.

pretty much in holiday mood

blogging from the hotel lobby
enjoying ourselves so far.. and this is our last day here
leaving tmr afternoon.

im definitely coming back here in future; the place is great
pace is slow, everyone is really friendly in this hostel we're staying and amenities is sufficient for comfortable stay
shopping is good too.. i've spent quite a bit and mostly on food!

a waste that i don't have the chance to hang out in the coffee joint to enjoy reading a book because our stay is too short
but i did go for a drink in the highlands coffee place. yummy coffee. =)

resting now before heading out to the night market
and for me, massage and dessert along the streets tonight is a must before we leave
we've been sleeping late every morning.. no alarm so just pure waking up after more than enough rest

wheeee.
i want to come back here! =)

saw this picture as janice's profile photo in facebook

and i'm so amused by the photo

it shows my tickle-me-elmo being emo, and staring at the living room window!

today's "fellowship" session went quite ok

the whole group were present for dinner, and wendy and jon leow came as well

all the food were cleared! yay! =)

thanks celine, for helping me out in the preparation today

a change in plan over the weekend
i submitted the official letter yesterday evening
it was approved this afternoon and processed
the request i have has been taken note of as well
all i need is to wait for the contract

took half day today to prepare dinner for the JW-ers, namely jonathan, wendy, reginald and cindy
a simple time of catching up at a homely environment and not like the usual, in an eatery outside

meeting a long-time colleague for breakfast tmr
his last day of service and he has been here for a long 6 years
gosh.
i have been here 3 years 7 months, and it's tiring.

at several crucial turns in my life, i am always ministered by a song
and it never fails again this time

when God drew me back to Him in secondary school, it was the song "So you would come"

when i couldn't catch a glimpse of my future, my graduation and possibly the need to retain in JC2, it was the song "You are so faithful"

when i was broken-hearted after JC2, it was the song "He will carry you"

when i felt terribly stressed during my university final exams and yet having to serve in youth weekly, it was the song "Lord i offer my life"

as i sat in office today and felt so uncertain about my decision, the song came. it was "Trust His Heart"

i'm truly amazed
at how God ministers
at the songs He put in my heart

"Trust His Heart"

"All things work for our good
Though sometimes we can't see how they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blinded us to the truth
Our Father knows what best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grows dim
And you just can't see Him
Remember you're never alone

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His heart

He sees the master plan
And He holds our future in His hand
So don't live as those who have no hope
All our hope is found in Him
We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry
He's weaving you and me
To someday be just like Him

God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His heart

He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you"

----------

what a timely song
a song which ministered to me so much
at this point in time where i'm unsure of things
i'm reminded yet again that God holds the master plan
and I have to trust His Heart

in-laws and his younger brother came over for dinner on saturday evening
i was rather tired after that so didn't go ahead to watch late night movie with the rest of them
whom i discovered, ended up not going eventually

i still want to watch the show though!
benjamin burton.. heh.
i want to catch bride wars too.. ahh, too many shows to watch

yesterday was a simple day
i dreamt that i had fried kuey tiao for a meal so after i woke up and washed up, i went for a quick grocery shopping to fairprice to grab the needed ingredients plus a packet of tang yuan since it's yuan xiao jie

we both had fried kuey tiao for lunch then i did some ginger and red date broth for the tang yuan to be consumed in the afternoon as tea-break
dinner was at swensens as we had some vouchers to be used up fast
grabbed some items from fairprice again and now, there is chin chow drink in the fridge too!

tiring sat
GB in the morning and thankfully, i had a list of games to tap on for the next few weeks so it was simply a matter of randomly choosing a suitable game for this morning

simple lunch at JP with cindy and candice before i headed home for a oily afternoon!
prepared 6 dishes to feed 12 people.. wasn't easy with my very limited cooking utensils and not much space to work with
managed to churn out:
- braised chicken wings
- beef stew
- steamed cod fish
- dou miao
- sambal prawns and squid rings
- egg tofu with minced meat sauce

friends started coming at 6.30pm sharp and eventually everyone who said they were coming turned up, so wasn't a waste of much food
it was a simple gathering of friends aka house-warming aka makan session to catch-up etc.
hubby had his diver friends over while i had my uni friends and one secondary school friend over

small world; two of them sort of knew each other and started chatting away
my friends were soon entertaining themselves although the two group didn't know each other initially
that gives me time to clear up and wash up while they carried on their black-jack, bluff, tai-dee session

later today is steamboat and the young adults are dropping by
tmr will be a small group of colleagues from work
ahh. shld be simpler to handle though i think i dread the aftermath of steamboat!
