it was an emotional roller-coaster ride of 18 hours

was on the way to get some food for tea break yesterday when i decided to click upon the website to check the results
seems like it was out yesterday and there it was, "view result" at the top of the list
searched for the reference number and entered my IC number
the "submit" button was clicked with a slight anticipation
203.
woah! i nearly jumped.. that was quite a good number.

the first thing i did was to msn raymond and i was so excited..and happy too of course.
after a few mins, everything came to a standstill when i realised the person whom i want to share the joy with is not him, it's someone else but i'm not sure of the outcome

was rather upset at night and i didn't want to talk or think about it
wasn't quite successful; it was there at the back of my head till i fell asleep and i woke up earlier than my alarm at 5.45am

reached office and raymond came to ask how was things
jacq also was there after that to listen to me
felt better after talking to both of them; i guess that's just how different man and woman are made
we react to things very differently..
like how a guy will not understand why girls get all jumpy and hold each other when they are happy and excited etc.

communication reduces conflicts - a line in the 9pm drama yesterday and was also celine's msn nick.
how true.

random ramblings.

my day 3 class turned out to be quite fun, or rather, they seemed fun for the day i was with them
was a little quiet initially but started to warm up more in the course of the day
quite a number of outstanding students; not going to be an easy class to grade

finished grading within D+1 this week, no work to do over the weekend
and i'm not complaining

went for GB on sat morning and had exams revision; the gals all did quite well.
the P3s also tried doing the P4s' paper and ended up doing very well
smart students.
went to meet some of the sub-sub-theme students at ECP
pengfei, ruby, shamsul, calvin and i cycled, while tim, bong and meili bladed
junyi came after that to join us for bowling
meili's bf also came after that to join us for dinner
super noisy day! =)

today was service, then GB camp meeting and the afternoon onwards with baby!
though it was just buying of some guitar stuff and a show plus dinner.. i think it's been a long time since we did that
if only time permits.. there are so many things i wish we can do together. =(

sleepy sleepy. zzz.

"miracles" of the week:
- i came into office at 7.45am on tuesday where i had a day 2 class
- i finished my day 2 class at 3.45pm when the problem was so, very tedious
- i wore a dress to work yesterday and everyone had something to say about it (nice ones of course)
- i met my baby for dinner last night, after such a looooong time!
- i published the grades for my day 2 class on Wed night..D+1
- i came into office this morning at 7.55am where i am having a day 3 class later at 9am

disclaimer:
my colleagues, raymond and jacq are the ones who are totally taken aback that i'm in office earlier than them, thus the "miracles".

no idea how my class would be.. but at least i quite like my day 2 class; seems good the day when i took them. let's see how today's class is.

oooh.. i can't wait for sat.
ECP with the poly forum people! wheee~

my next three saturdays are taken up!
this coming sat - poly forum 1(b) outing to ECP
next sat - my colleague, lena's wedding at raffles town club
next, next sat - jimmy and peiling's wedding

it's the start of the new semester tmr; this marks my 5th semester in RP
still am thankful for the wonderful job, loving colleagues and abundant opportunity to grow and shine

after my trip back from bangkok, i realised i have quite a bit of new clothings and they are just chucked somewhere; not hung up in my wardrobe yet
better stop buying new clothes for the time being

i miss my baby!

finally, the long-awaited poly forum has come to an end but right now, i'm missing my students quite a bit.

all the months of meetings, preparations, frustrations etc have passed and their efforts have certainly paid off during the actual forum presentation itself
despite not having much free time during the cruise since most of the presenters came from my sub-sub-theme, it definitely was worth it all!

before the cruise, i was feeling rather worried because of the news that indonesia had a series of major earthquakes and there were tsunami warnings
didn't really help when my students' parents called to inform them and asked if we were still boarding as well
baby was being really assuring and he kept calling to check how are things
thank God for the safe trip! =)

during the cruise, i really enjoyed myself
the first day was super hyped up with the constant cheering by the students and they just aren't able to settle down! went for supper with my students before going around to snap pictures
back to cabin to unpack, shower and later on, had a short stroll along the star deck with my colleague from the next-door cabin
off to sleep at 2am and woke up at 7.30am the next day for breakfast

breakfast was with RP staff then it was endless rehearsals and fine-tuning of presentation materials
presenters made up of 5 students from my sub-sub-theme 1(b), russell from 1(a) and jude from 1(c)
went for lunch with my sub-sub-theme students and again, back for rehearsals plus some free time all the way till dinner
it was gala dinner and we had to dress up
given only 30 mins, we rushed back to cabin to freshen up and dolled ourselves before meeting as a sub-sub-theme again at lift lobby and headed to the restaurant as one big group
many, many pictures were snapped
after the dinner, i went to walk around the ship with my colleagues and that night's supper was with them
reminded my students to rest early before i went back to sleep

woke up early to shower and packed my stuff before heading for breakfast with colleagues again
final rehearsal before the small appreciation ceremony for the facilitators
the chief facilitators gave a short description of what the students complimented about each of us before announcing our name and we headed to stage for our certs
i love my sub-sub-theme and RP students! =)

supposed to head for lunch with my sub-theme facilitators but i went with my presenters in the end to another restaurant
in just a day, russell and jude have bonded well with the rest of the 5 presenters from 1(b) as well!
some of us decided to go for second round at the restaurant that the facilitators were in and the facilitators were staring at me for leaving them in the lurch! haha.
they will never understand how RP facilitators are just able to click very well with students

came to my cabin for a final round of rehearsal, then headed to check-out, immigration clearance and off we were on our way back to TP
did a final stage check before we started to settle down
guests start to arrive and soon, the ceremony started
though a little stage-fright since the presenters were the very first to go on stage, i'm very proud of their effort and how they persevered to the end!

when it was finally over, the atmosphere was definitely hyped up again
took some pictures before heading for supper and again, supper was with my students and not with the staff
soon, it was finally heading home time
and just a moment ago, some of us were on our forum page indicating how much we missed each other already
our msn nicks all reflected the same sentiments

i never would have expected the entire 3 days on cruise to be so memorable
all the RP staff were really tired and all we wanted was for the entire event to be over; it was also tiring because the sub-sub-theme that we each was holding happened to be either performers or presenters
but right now, it's a feeling of nostalgia that all is over
and i wonder when will we see each other again? =)

some memories from cruise:
- the tp student, calvin who started calling me "mi tang" (translated to english, it means 'honey') and the rest kept joking about it
- the same tp student who was the entertainer for the entire trip; he was a walking KTV. he could mimic fei yu qing to rain to anyone you call out; the song and dance steps were amazing
- shane who finally showed us some break-dancing move after the closing ceremony
basically, the endless laughter we had, and the time we spent with each other!
i feel like a student, all over again. =)

left the camera cable on my desk in office and thus, will only upload the 150+ photos i took on monday
oh yah, my "mi tang" is arrowed to plan for our outing soon; let's see how it goes!

3 cheers to sub-sub-theme 1(b)!

i'm back from my bangkok trip with jacqueline and i'm supposed to be unpacking and packing again for poly forum cruise tmr
yet to do so, lazy to do the whole packing process all over again
at this moment, i think i will never be a business traveller; it's so exhausting to unpack and pack!

we had a real fun time de-stressing in bangkok; even the departure itself was exciting
we brought our luggages to office and left at 4pm to catch a cab to the airport
many came up and envied us for being able to get away; and at 4pm, it was a funny sight saying bye-bye to whoever were in the office while trying to leave without our bosses realising
had an early dinner at Hans before we board our plane and eventually reaching our hotel at 9pm
was lazy to travel so dinner was settled at the japanese restaurant across the hotel
was still pretty careful of what i ate but my stomach felt much better by then already

both of us took a long time each to wash up before we headed to bed and had a fantastic rest despite the freezing air-con
usual routine of having breakfast at the hotel, slacked a while before we walked to platinum mall and pratunam market
after lunch, we headed to MBK and ended the day with a foot massage before we headed back to hotel
once again, it was an extremely good rest that night

the next day had us spending the whole day at platinum mall and eventually back to hotel before going for dinner at the roadside stall downstairs

on sun, we headed to chatuchak till early afternoon before we couldn't stand the heat any longer, back to hotel to dump our stuff before indulging in pastas for lunch and combed the entire MBK
dinner was roadside steamboat + BBQ but we were too tired to keep cooking so the dinner was done quite quickly

the last day of our trip was slacking in hotel till check-out time, then we headed for yummy lunch at a shanghai restaurant
walked the last bit to see if there's anything else to buy because we had spare cash
the result of the 3 hours of walking was that we were almost cash-less at the end of it and had to be careful before we ran out of cash to take cab to the airport

the cab ride to airport and finally the flight itself were spent sleeping, reading through magazines, our bible etc but both of us agreed that we really enjoyed the trip! =)

we are very interesting travelling companions - we take a long time to shower, we like to slack in hotel after breakfast and at night, we don't mind each other taking a long time at the bathroom because we'll be reading our bible and then enjoying the star movie or mtv channels.

even though i was just there in bangkok in april, i still managed to spend quite a bit this time round
bleah.
bangkok is a shopping paradise for girls (actually, for guys too, but they are just lazy to walk and walk and walk) and it's super important to head there with the right company!

right now, i just have to unpack and pack again for the 3D2N cruise; rather cumbersome considering the different attires for the different occasions - jeans and tee for checking-in, jeans and white polo-tee for second day, formal wear for social night on second day, pants and forum tee on third day
so many things to bring, just for a short trip, and no shorts allowed! =(

flying off to bangkok this evening and i'm quite excited about it
going there with jacqueline, one of the w4 gals as well as my jogging khaki
we've got the entire fri, sat, sun and mon to hang around and i think it's gonna be fun though we've both been there a couple of times
but i guess we are both the same when it comes to travelling - like to enjoy our own sweet time, taking things easy and just resting. =)

got to finish up the worksheet and quiz for prob 2 before i go off in the late afternoon though
and probably check if there's stil things to be handed over, else no one is going to be able to cover me till semester starts because when i'm back from bangkok on mon midnight, i'm off for cruise for poly forum from wed to fri again
what a long week of travelling~

was just having some sharing with celine over dinner just now at JB and at some point in time, i felt really overwhelmed as i was sharing with her certain issues
despite the issues not being mine, i could feel the burden and the amount of frustration, stress and not knowing what/how to go about doing things
no idea what i can do for him but i know, i want to go through things together with him and not leaving him alone to handle everything
it hurts, sometimes.

BBQ with my day 2 class at ulu costa sands was quite fun
took cab down with ned, only to realise that ned's, victor's and my class are in the same area for BBQ so we could disturb each other through the evening

wed evening was mahjong session at jasmine's place
reached home at only 2.45am

(image captured by jasmine's wireless webcam at home!)

fri was poly forum rehearsal at TP
tiring day but overall, my sub-theme did fine.
quite happy for them! =)

down with stomach flu over the weekend but obviously i had no idea because i didn't have stomach flu before
but it's getting better now and i really miss eating!

wore a new dress to church yesterday and baby says i looked pretty
wheee! totally made my day!
can't remember the last time he said that lah.. =)
