was on MC on tues and wed
i guess i just needed the rest

was supposed to have lunch at JP with hubby after his class yesterday
on the way to foodcourt, he commented that we could watch a show and so we did
bedtime stories!
we smuggled in big buns and some kuehs and bought a nacho set as well
that was our lunch while enjoying the show

ntuc after that to get fish which i've been craving for the last few days
we bought new year goodies as well, couldn't resist them
and the last stop was at bee cheng hiang for my beloved bak kwa!

cooked dinner last night again and hubby helped as well
i took the easy way out by getting him to chop the garlic and stuff, plus wash the fish and rub it in salt. =)

pictures?
they are in his camera.. which is at home. i shall upload tonight.

wedding photographer told me last night that he'll be able to pass us our photos before CNY!
wheeee.

last friday while waiting for class to begin, i was just surfing around some home-cooked food ideas and came across a website for braised pork with mushrooms
the picture looks tempting enough to entice me to try it out

after work, hubby and i went for a simple meal at JP and he already predicts that i'll want to head to Fairprice
and i did!
he willingly accompanies me there; we managed to grab what we needed in a short time and headed back

spent the next hour in the kitchen preparing breakfast for sat morning
and the braised pork with mushrooms to be cooked in the slow cooker through the night
on sat morning as we woke up, he claims that the whole house smells of braised mushroom!
heh..

and so, i cooked dinner again last night and hubby helped me!
wheee..
he helped to cut up the carrots, garlic, ham, oyster mushroom.. beat up the eggs.. heat up the braised pork etc..
and soon, dinner was ready.

i love my husband! =)

still overwhelmed by how God works in all areas of our wedding, i'm so thankful! =)

let's take a recap of what happened last week.
29th dec
my stomach feels super awful and i didn't eat much the entire day
we collected our ROM document in the morning and though i had lots to do that day, it was simply spent sleeping away
bridal shower in the evening. the girls put in so much effort and of course it was fun, just that i definitely wasn't in the best of mood to enjoy and play along
slept the moment i reached home and felt slightly better the next day

30th dec
spent the entire day at new house unpacking and cleaning
making sure that the place is ready to live in since we're shifting right in after our mini getaway trip
dear celine came over to help me out with random stuff and to accompany me as well *thanks gal!*
jon offered to dabao dinner over and our neighbours from 3rd floor came to join us too
a simple dinner over "little nonya" and general slacking

31st dec
general mad rush
finished my workplan discussion in the morning, headed for facial and manicure and haircut
last minute shopping for essential items, headed to new place and unpack a little before being driven to wcrc for watchnight service
hubby drove me back to new place.. i unpacked my stuff and packed my luggage for bali trip before heading home. it was already 1am.
packed my room and house before i went to sleep at 2+ am

1st jan
had a short sleep of 3 hrs plus before i woke up and the excitement simply grew
that was it! my BIG day! =)

washed up, make-up.. gate-crash
tea-ceremony at both places
wash up and make-up again at swissotel
bridal march-in
vows, exchange of rings, kiss etc.
dinner recep
and before i knew it, i was back in my hotel room watching "little nonya"!

i forgot to pray for the weather that day but i remembered wendy praying for that for us during watchnight service
the weather was fantastic the entire day till it started to drizzle very lightly at 3.50pm while i headed over to swissotel
the rain started pouring during praise & worship and lasted all the way but stopped in time before the dinner reception and didn't rain again.
how could that be unless God has His hands in this? =)

some of you would know that our original flight timing was at 7am and so we had to check-out at 4am and leave for airport
in-laws wanted to drive us to airport but decided not to the night before
we wanted to give our breakfast coupon to either pastor or girls at SAC since we couldn't eat but we forgot to
and.. at 12.30am that night, airline called to say flight delayed till 10am
that means we have time for breakfast and could even take a train down! wooohooo!

2nd-5th jan
reached bali just in time for check-in at villa, no need to wait as the room was ready for us
a good relaxing time over in bali
it was pure slacking and being with each other for the full 4 days
back on mon night and my father-in-law came to pick us
the family headed for dinner and sent us back after that
our first day at our home! =)

we are thankful for all the offerings our family and friends gave us for the wedding
as we open each angpow that night, there were many which surprised us and we know truly God provides
they were all decent angpows.. except one with condoms inside and it wasn't even from his diver buddies (which he suspected might try something funny). well, you know who you are! LOL!

6th jan
headed to my parents' place for lunch and they really put in effort to prepare the lunch for us
i was rather touched by my dad's effort.
we went to ntuc after that for mega purchase to stock up our daily essentials

----------

the few days of adaptation have been good
of course, there were instances where we do things differently and i got upset but all is fine now

last night before i fell asleep, i told him, i felt like a true-blue housewife for a brief moment yesterday
after hubby left for NIE, i headed for JP to post letters, deposit cash, send his suit for drycleaning and bought groceries at NTUC to prepare dinner
the aunties (promoters) were coming in all directions to get me to buy their products
- i took a can of button mushroom and she went "buy 4 lah.. buy 4 only $2.95!"
- i took fishball and she went "buy meat ball la.. if not, vegetable ball. get seafood fishcake for free!"
- i took tofu and she went "buy one more roll la, not so fast expire.. i give you egg tofu for free also!"
after much struggling in NTUC with the aunties, it was back home and a good one hour of cooking dinner for the first time in our place

*takes a deep breath
that's a lot at one shot uh. heh.
those of you who took video and/or pictures of us on our wedding, please send us ok? or upload into facebook and tag
photos from the official photographer will only be in end of month or beginning feb..
and if you're thinking of dropping a visit to our place, we welcome you anytime. =)

currently feeling.. very blissful and ultra thankful.

2009 started with a blast! =)
i have so much to thank God for and it's truly amazing how He brought us through the big day and events after

we came back from our trip last night and though it's back to work for us tmr
everything is falling nicely into place - staying together in our new home is exciting!

i'm very much prepared for my new role as a daugher-in-law and a wife
i guess that makes adaptation a lot easier

very random entry but i'll definitely blog more over the weekend
it's pretty hectic in campus for the next few days

good night.
