ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

10 more days!
*gulps!

final fitting of both my gowns yesterday
still need slight alteration because the evening gown is a little loose
but the new can-can is nice and really makes walking so much easier, without much fear of stepping on my own gown while i walk. =)

my colleague passed me a whole bag of nicely-DIYed pew ribbons with mini flowers that i can use for decor as well. yay! and they're reallllly nice! his wife is so artistic.. she did that for her own wedding!

alrighty. checklist of what is to be done these few days, amidst CCIS:
- order of service (super top priority)
- fun-shot album
- actual day photo collage for parents
- packing packing packing!
- preps for bali trip

yea.. these should be all so far, needa get them done asap.

joanie commented that our wedding is the most organized of all
she said probably also because ours is the last.. and i also attributed it to the super early planning. =)

off to meet arlene.

a public holiday yesterday and due to bad weather, the cycling was cancelled
instead, dear and i went household shopping at the nearby sheng siong
quite an experience.. buying household items that used to be taken care of by our parents
we bought quite a bit.. can't wait to get back there to get our daily supply of food soon.

our washing machine and bed arrived today
although it's almost a month more before we'll sleep on the new bed, it has already been nicely decorated with a brand new set of bedsheet and comforter cover.
feels so good.. can't wait to rest in it. =)

the kitchen looks rather decent now too.. just need to fill up with more edible stuff.
living room is already in place, except a phone
master bedroom is probably the most perfect so far!

it's scary how much time i've been spending with my new neighbours downstairs ever since they shifted over! =)

sat.
GB retreat in the morning at cindy's place; breakfast was kindly provided by the couple and it was totally what i wanted to eat
i wanted bee hoon with egg and cabbage, plus soya bean milk.. so reginald bought for all 8 of us, the same food!
hanged around at their place before we adjourned to drop some stuff at my new place upstairs
headed for lunch at JP, went our separate ways in the afternoon and met again in the evening

it was a mini bridal shower by jon and reginald (plus cindy)
i felt really pampered like a princess through the night.. they refused to let me pay a single cent.
and since it was organized for me, i get to choose the places
i chose to have our dinner at "sketches" and all of us ate pasta..including reginald! he has to hold his breath while attempting to take a photo with my superly cheesy pasta!
then it was to shaw tower to get ice-cream from tom's palette.. and after finishing, we headed back to JP to catch a night movie

sun.
cindy and i both took a long time to prepare this morning and so we decided to share cab to church
went for lunch and headed back to JP together
i wanted to window-shop at Japan Home but i ended up buying $50 worth of items..all for my kitchen!
cindy and i were both quite tired from sat.. so the plan was to head back to sleep but i had to lug the stuff to my new place and it was a hot afternoon. by then, it was near 2pm.

went over her place for a cold soya bean milk drink (leftover from sat!)..
amacing race was showing on screen and we ended up watching 3 episodes of it till 4-ish. reginald then switched the channel to some channel 8 shows and it was another round of watching till 6.15pm!
it wasn't because the show ended but they had to rush for a wedding dinner.. and their friends had called earlier to say that they're all meeting at 6pm. haha!

super slacking weekend.
there's another round of GB planning tmr morning and the tentative plan is to head to ECP for cycling in the afternoon followed by dinner
will see how it goes.. weather hasn't been cooperative these few days and i'm kinda tired.

woohoo! i'm sure you can guess what i'm going to blog soon..
and it's none other than..
....
.......
............
4 more weeks! =)

alright. excitement about the wedding aside
i had an enjoyable evening having fun with some of the cell group people at minds cafe
it was janice who wanted to have fun and celebrate the end of exams but it was also her birthday so shun bian celebrate too.

looking back at probably ten months ago when the cell first came together to now.. it's such a difference!
i think we're rather comfortable with each other now and im thankful for that.
for example, i don't recall talking much to people like mao and janice in the past but things are quite different now..
no complaints about it though. =)

whee!
one reason why i signed up for many credit cards is simply the perks they offer, so cool!

last night, i received the promotion booklet from HSBC
the hotel offer is ridiculous!
and becos of that.. i cancelled our original hotel room booking at grand plaza park hotel and changed it to swissotel the stamford!
it's equally near to SAC.. and i see it as a mini upgrade of hotel
plus.. we save $12 after the upgrade.
haha! =)

just made the change 2 mins ago and my fiance has no idea about it yet
but i'm sure he won't object.. right?

i kept forgetting to blog about prayer meeting last wed
denny led the song "forever" and the verse went like this:

"I'll worship at Your Throne
Whisper my own love song
With all my heart I'll sing
For You my Dad and King
I'll live for all my days
To put a smile on Your face
And when we finally meet
It'll be for eternity"

while i was singing that ever familiar song, the very sentence "I'll live for all my days, to put a smile on your face" simply jumped up at me and i realised that is something i definitely haven't been doing for a long time

it's so sweet isn't it?
for someone to say that he/she will live the rest of their lives, to put a smile on our face..
and so it's with God.
I'm sure it's something that will certainly please His heart and though it's not easy to do that.. i'll try to do that each day.

it's 1st december today..means the BIG DAY is only a month away!
gosh. i'm feeling the jitters already but yet at the same time, i can't help feeling excited about it.

the next 30 days are going to pass by real fast, i'm sure.

handled out a portion of our wedding invites yesterday after service and some of the adults were really funny with their conversations after seeing our card
i felt blessed as they congratulated us and felt happy for us
justina was really funny because she seriously wanted to be the flower-girl..well, she got it! =)

----------

early celebration for janice's 21st yesterday despite her having an exam paper today
i had fun although i was really tired
it was a cool group, and everyone's aim was just to have fun while celebrating; that makes the whole evening very enjoyable!
poor janice.. but blessed birthday! =)
