woohoo!
the wedding invite is done.. very efficient printing company.

did the final touch-up at violet's place on tues night
she rushed it on wed morning; i sent it to print on wed evening
on thurs noon, the nice lady called and said it's ready for collection and she trimmed each piece nicely so that the fold is neater.
such a sweet lady.. and the shop is really nice to step into.
pretty big and cosy place manned by two little petite ladies who probably just graduated?
they look really young and are very nice! =)

i decided to take away tying of ribbon so that i won't kill myself doing it
it's back to the simple, write name and put into envelope.

thanks violet and carol for doing up the card!

and.. it's FIVE more weeks!

wheeeee!
wedding is over and it totally drained me that day..
didn't get to sleep the night before and i literally sleep-walked to candice's place early in the morning with my hair uncombed and ribbon on my dress tied anyhow

everything went well and i do hope the couple had a splendid time!
here's the amateurish poem i wrote in a hour on the morning of the wedding day:

When I knew Reginald eight years ago
He was single and eager to find a girl
He tried means and ways
And all ended up in a waste

A sincere heart he brings
Each time the telephone rings
A listening ear he lends
Each time a needy heart he sense

He touches the lives of his friends
But none let down their defense
He stayed single, say to say
At the end of each single day

In God’s timing on Christmas day
Six years ago, that faithful day
He held her hands and looked at her
Declared her as lover of his world

A lovely couple day and night
Loving and serving with all their might
Hearts and lives were touched
As they toiled and labored much

Reginald and Cindy,
Having known you for many years

while typing the previous entry an hour ago, i had the sudden inspiration to come up with a simple poem for the couple
now, i'm not exactly someone who writes... so yea, it's a super amateurish piece of words for them on their wedding day

will post it up after the wedding.
as for now.. i've yet to iron my clothes and pack for tmr.
argh.
how to wake up at 4am and look pretty?

reginald and cindy's wedding in a few hours' time and all of us are so excited for them!
after so many weeks of having no time to shop for dresses, i finally bought the dress i need for tmr's wedding at isetan yesterday and a few hours ago, i got a pair of new white heels to go along with it and a pair of earrings too.

i need to get to bed real soon because i'm supposed to reach candice's place at 4.45am tmr to prepare; leave at 6am to pick becky and joanie before heading to the bride's place
it's going to be a long day but i'm sure i'm going to enjoy myself.

at the rehearsal, we tried walking down the aisle thrice
pastor walked past me and said "good huh.. practice for you now first.."

this lovely couple's union brought back a lot of memories for me
i knew reginald back in JC1 and we had a love-hate relationship back then
knew cindy in uni year 1 and since then, i've seen them through years of courtship
i was there to witness the proposal two years ago as well and in a few hours time, i'll be her bridesmaid
not to mention, i'm going to see them real often in future because we are only 5 storeys apart
i thank God for this couple and the friendship which is going strong. =)

because of the common involvement in this wedding preparation, it gave me the chance to meet wendy more often as well
and each time we meet, it was a good session of sharing and knowing each other's struggles, as well as a support for each other. =)

our house is beginning to look more like a home! =)
credits to my darling for cleaning up the place again and again to get rid of the dust, dirt etc.
the furnitures came - dining set, sofa, tv console.. and made the whole place looked so different
then the electronics were done up - tv and home theatre system
now.. our living room looks pretty!

over the weekends, we bought some plates and cutleries from ikea and i still want to stock up more designs from elsewhere.. few pieces here and there! *grins.

got more rugs for the house as well, and some items for the kitchen
i can't wait to fill up the spaces with all the essential items we need and of course..
more excited to be staying there 7 weeks from now!

recruitment unit called me on thurs regarding me rejecting the offer
it was a nice lady and after the phone call, i felt a little clearer and thought for a moment, was it a divine call?
thinking back, i hesitated a long while before sending in the rejection letter and thought to myself, maybe i'll consider if they call me to counter-offer.
well, they did.

discussed with zhong last night and felt so much better; it was great to know that whatever decisions i make will be supported, meant so much to me.

today, i got a call from a colleague in office
she mentioned that my director wants to see me next week
things are beginning to fall into place.
and i'll continue to pray and seek His directions for me.. in my job.

every morning when i wake up, i know it's one day nearer to the big day
and every other day, i'll receive smses from friends to indicate that they'll save their day to attend the wedding and it's sweet!

lalala.
im getting married, and it's absolutely making me more excited each day!
you can tell by now, don't you? =)

it was so hard to drag myself out of bed these two days
mainly because i probably only managed to sleep at around 5+ in the morning?

cindy's bridal shower last night was fun fun fun!
was still a little hesitant initially because she kept saying she didn't want to be sabo-ed and i didn't have the heart to sabo her la.
but since she was so sporting.. everyone helped to chip in to the fun too!
a big group of 11 of us - dinner at ms clarity cafe was a good choice, yummy food!
the ambience is nicer at night than in the day!
on a side note, i love the apron put together by mao and her mum, so cool! it sent heads turning as we walked down the streets.

today is the last day of the job offer before it lapses
i faxed in my response at 4.50pm.
my dad has been the only one who is interested in my response and has been bugging me about my decision for the past few days
it wasn't easy to tick in the portion where it says "i do not accept the offer of appointment".

packed 12 days ahead.
GB camp > National pushcart challenge > Regi & Cindy's wedding > CGW
in the midst of them are facilitation classes and crafting of problems.

have got no idea what time i fell asleep last night
washed up, ate one anti-allergy pill which causes drowsiness and was in bed around 11.15pm.. tossed around for a while so i think i slept around 12 plus? i hope.
in any case.. i had a few dreams and then i was awake.. and a few mins later, the alarm rang.

im so sleepy now. =x
back to class.. it's awfully quiet again. i missed tmr's class!
