Tuesday, August 26, 2008 (the remaining 1 belongs to the category of people who took leave and headed overseas for the entire 3 weeks!) 3 weeks of term break = 15 working days out of which, 2-3 days were spent rushing all the grading and for module chairs, BOE reports. clearing admin, IG camps, doing up slides for conference, materials for EEP lessons, coordination work for nationwide challenge in Nov etc.. and not forgetting, crafting problems for the new semester semester starts on 3rd sept but i've to teach two batches of students on 1st and 2nd sept, 4 hours in the afternoon on both days for the new semester, i've 3 facilitation days per week 2 new problems to craft, 1 minor problem to review, and 2 UT questions to set of which, one problem is due 1st sept. thinking about the deadline puts me off this is going to be a difficult semester; it ends 30th jan 2009. //posted by ivy @ 15:40//

Friday, August 08, 2008 or rather, i needed to get some work done but i'm really exhausted and i just need to rest i've got no idea how to finish so many things over the weekend but for now, i know what my poor body needs. it needs some nice pampering it needs some nutritious food it needs rest. ridiculously tired. i wish you're here, to give me a big fat hug to hold me in your embrace, and wait for me to drift off to sleep in your arms good night. //posted by ivy @ 23:28// my poor blog is neglected when i'm busy but it's almost the first to be aware of any happenings in office because it's easily accessible at most times like now. here's a checklist of crazy stuff to complete either by mon or tues: - grading for W65A (13 students) - grading for W66G (16 students) - UT marking (1350 questions) - final slides for YE conference - presentation materials for ETDF 1 hr talk //posted by ivy @ 15:48//
Thursday, August 07, 2008 someone who co-manages the module is one real selfish person, all he thinks of is his own self-interest. 16 weeks have been sufficient to see what he really is like being a co-person managing the module disgusting. i have to mark 3 questions for the last UT and i've till sunday to do so hello. i've class today and tmr. sat seems to be a public holiday, and sunday is.. a sunday! why do they set deadline to be on sunday? are you going to pay me double to be marking on a public holiday and sunday? disgusting. on the other hand, i've some upcoming conference coming up i've some tasks to do and all the person think of is when can we (the bunch of us doing stuff for him) submit the materials to him let's take an example; one of us is sick and took MC for the day, informed all relevant parties about being on MC sickie's boss replied "okie, take care yah? manage your own time well and if you can't finish, voice it out" sickie's asst dir replied "aiyo, how come you got so much things to do? you can manage?" and when it comes to this person, he simply replied "so when can you give me the materials to be submitted?" disgusting. gail and elena went to have happy food with me yesterday dinner at tiong bahru; ate sukiyaki. yumz. on tues, lena, jane, jasmine, wee leng and i went mos burger for dinner then the whole lot of them (except wee leng) came over my new house to peep so cool. i feel like a property agent. alright. got to start class. 9 people in class, currently. //posted by ivy @ 08:30//
