Thursday, July 24, 2008 tues was activated and it's surprising because i'm 2nd stand-by; and it's the same person again! but the class was good and we both enjoyed each other's company for the day. had lunchtime talk and President's visit after school.. i was so tired yesterday that i took leave and slept in till 1pm! after lunch, decided to chiong my marking and i'm rather proud of my progress finished marking tues' class and 4/5 of the UT! wheee.. i'm so determined not to do work over the weekend and moreover, dear wanna head for "dark knights". so, no work no work no work! =) class today and tmr i think i can easily finish the 1/5 of UT before sat and i've got kick-boxing today! haha. ------------------ [added at 10.29am] wooohooo! i'm done with the 1/5 of UT! yeppie! =) ------------------ //posted by ivy @ 08:48//
Thursday, July 17, 2008 down with mild stomach flu on tues, went to see a doctor before coming back to office for half day having so many meetings after class this entire week; so tiring! went home early after all the meetings on tues with germin i must have looked really pale, he said i'm bound to head home and concuss. wed had EEP; elena took over the class back to school with more meetings to attend feeling slightly better but not much appetite went with germin and elena for sushi dinner cos it's healthy enough for my virus-ed stomach had a ride to office from germin this morning 2nd last day of him being in office, sobz. we're all sad. went for class; my class is amazing today! love them they came in formal wear for the presentation today and did really well for 3rd meeting i told them their slides are so much better than the past 12 weeks combined. haha! now is 45 mins till my meeting with my director supposed to present a plan for my IG now since budget revised by 75% and CE points allocation remains the same so every IG is stressed, basically. my boss just IM-ed me, "please prepare your speech for the meeting later, see you at 5pm" oh man. i hope we can secure some funds; else my students will be so disappointed in the events that we have to forgo. busy week! but it's thursday already, yippie! it's 4.17pm now. =) //posted by ivy @ 16:12//
Wednesday, July 09, 2008 i'm taking 3T2, interesting class. HDB got back to us regarding our parquet and has agreed to replace all our bedroom tiles woohoo! my ID is jumping up and down because it requires a delay on their progress for about one month, but i'm jumping up and down too! haha. new tiles! =) so after this delay, i think our house will be ready around mid august for handover and after rectification checks etc, it should be ready for stay in september or so. 3 months for us to clean, shift and unpack. that's quite a comfortable schedule. i'm on leave on friday having an appointment at 4.50pm. =) //posted by ivy @ 10:28//
Monday, July 07, 2008 pretty satisfied at the end of the day; it wasn't that hard to sacrifice some photos because they can be easily replicated on the actual day looking forward to the layout design, and at the same time, coming up with some ideas for our fun shoots too! i've a student who agreed to edit the photos for me, so that makes our fun shoot album kind of free. =) on the other hand, i'm activated for class today again. this is probably the 3rd time in 4 weeks. there goes my hope of finishing up my work today //posted by ivy @ 10:06//
Thursday, July 03, 2008 they were there for a ... erhm, dinner. haha it's good to see him and raymond again! awww.. i miss them! went for jap food dinner with dear last night shouldn't have ate that piece of carrot cake if i know that we're heading for dinner that soon in any case, fried salmon is not nice. booo, i still prefer fresh salmon. but fried salmon is probably the alternative when i'm pregnant in future and still want to eat salmon spent quite a while at the new house last night checking on the parquet of our room spotted around 60+ hollow areas! horrible. =( class today and tmr they're getting quite sian of the module; can't blame them. it's problem 11 and marketing doesn't seem as fun as what i thought as well dept going through re-org again! i can't believe it.. the re-org each time seems to get worse and worse when i studied HR in the past, i always remembered cross-functional matrix as one of the worst management style ever i didn't really know why but as a student back then, the only logical reason that came to mind was the complexity in appraisal and day-to-day control now, i know why cross-functional matrix is bad; because i'm in it and everything seems so clear. no wonder they always say studying the concept is one thing, really understanding it is another //posted by ivy @ 08:55//
