Monday, August 27, 2007 the poolside dinner at raymond's place was a good chill-out he ordered quite a lot of yummy food from thomson - crabs, prawns, veg, mee goreng, chicken wings, fried rice and man tou.. and all 9 of us had a feast filled with laughter in the air (clockwise: victor, elena, raymond, jacqueline, kevin, germin, me, gail and choon hou - i was occupying the empty space before i turned photographer) we went on to have a guys vs gals challenge of pictionary + charade before going his place to disturb his 4 kids adorable youngest girl - germaine! so pretty and sweet. =) had been thankful for something for quite a while but never did have the chance to share it yet i used to be quite close to kok whye and sau yee (my ex-colleagues) back then and i remembered being ever so thankful to God for putting christians in my workplace and both of them are people who really cared for me when they both left, it was rather scary i felt that the support and fellowship was gone just like a snap but i know God won't leave me alone, with no one to share my problems with at work and i really am thankful for my colleagues like raymond, jacqueline and wee leng as well as others like leslie, choon hou, jacob, gail, lena, victor etc they have been people whom i can simply plop over at their workstation and share whatever is on my mind they are also people whom i know i can trust with what i want to share and on top of that, i'm thankful for the many advices that raymond always willingly shares with me even for my other colleagues like elena, germin, jane, joyce, kevin etc.. they are there if i ever need a listening ear, a khaki to jog with..and the list goes on. i love them. =) //posted by ivy @ 23:51//
Saturday, August 25, 2007 after so many semesters, i'm still unable to put away my feelings for the class at the end of the semester i'm very sure i'm gonna miss the craziness of my day 2 class; and that only reminds me of my day 2 class this time last year as well on the other hand, im very proud of their UT4 grades out of 23 students in class, 12 have got an A and that's quite a record! in the other class, i've got 11 who got an A; again, it beats the class's record so all in all, imagine the big wide smile that appeared when i see familiar names again and again as i was scrolling through the top 5% of UT4 the other day heading for the day 2's class's bbq on tues; prob will take some photos. i was at subway just now for dinner when i saw two girls wearing a black class tee with the word "ohana" scrawled across the front i miss them too. been a long while since i last saw the bunch of them in campus. and that also makes me think of my service-learning students those were the days; busy yet the bond was so strong! //posted by ivy @ 23:18//
Tuesday, August 07, 2007 didn't quite like the fact that he was so nice to me as much as i'm fine with just being friends, i had to ensure that he was just treating me as one over the weekend, i guess the matter was more or less settled and i felt so much better it was also easier to talk to him now. =) worked from home these two days and since i have a couple of hours on hand this afternoon and was feeling so bored at home, i went house-visiting liked one of them quite a bit; the other was so-so facilitation certification result was emailed to me one hour back for the first time in my life, i didn't clear a "test/exam". argh. that only means i have to re-do my class filming probably next semester how disgusting. to think i was quite confident of clearing since my 2nd and 3rd meeting passed with flying colors and no questions asked at all. //posted by ivy @ 18:48//
Monday, August 06, 2007 during PM visit to our campus last week, i was selected to be an usher by OHR; most of us have no idea why we were selected ushered in PM's brother and i didn't even know until half a minute later PM was dressed in pink, and he said "hi" me to me on his way to the library visit; booming voice considering his height and the silence in the library watched "simpsons" last week in town after work a total of 8 of us, pretty interesting becos i haven seen half of them for a long time quite a relaxing evening while having the new pizza hut cheese bites fondue last week with wendy and jon, we had the urge to go cycling, thus decided to make it on a saturday i smsed a couple of them, and the final turnout was 5 of us on saturday which was a perfect number, considering i drove a good session of 4 hrs on the bike to and fro the ends of ECP.. journey to ECP was fine but it was stressful having to drive to marine parade for dinner and later on, sending all of them back i prefer driving in the day, not so for night. church shifted to west coast recreation centre yesterday it was the first time we had our service there and since i dunno the way there via private transport, jon came to pick me and i sort of know two ways of getting there now was talking to someone a while ago and i realised why i felt slightly disappointed i recalled hao feeling upset over ohana in the past because it didn't seem as close as it used to be when they were still in w25L and i don't think he was the only one i remembered back then, how close the whole gang of us were despite our busy schedules, we never neglected anyone the group would make time for each other i won't forget how gareth tried to cheer me up by gathering them for dinner at marina and buying ben & jerry for me and cedrik came to pick me too; it didn't seem very very long ago but those were the times i missed i need to take a break during the aug-sept holidays but i don't think that's going to come true poly forum is driving me insane, and yes, im frustrated at the quality of work produced by the team so far //posted by ivy @ 20:53// |
